Carberry wins Irish National
Nina Carberry won the Irish Grand National on Organisedconfusion at Fairyhouse. The six-year-old was taking a big step up in trip but appeared to relish the extra distance to land an emotional success for Carberry and her uncle, Arthur Moore. The later, who won the race as a jockey in 1971, said: “He’s a lovely horse – so laid-back. We were a bit worried with him only being six but he has a great engine. It’s a great family occasion with Nina on board.”
