Liverpool’s SAS can fire Reds to victory tomorrow
IT’S a massive month for Arsenal as they look to stay top of the Premier League and face big ties in the FA Cup and Champions League.
Starting with tomorrow’s game at Liverpool, the Gunners have a horrible run of fixtures which could bring all silverware aspirations to a sudden halt.
Chelsea’s defeat of Manchester City on Monday gave Arsenal a slight cushion at the top of the table, but a trip to Anfield will be a strong test of any title credentials just four days before the visit of a wounded Manchester United to the Emirates.
Next Sunday they host tomorrow’s rivals in the FA Cup before the daunting prospect of playing European champions Bayern Munich.
Such a demanding schedule makes Arsenal vulnerable, especially when we consider their limited options up front and the injuries that have impacted their defence and midfield.
Liverpool are in the perfect position to take a big three points after they dropped two away to West Brom on Sunday. Brendan Rodgers’ team have been sublime at home so far, suffering just one defeat to Southampton back in September, and winning nine of their next 10.
And not just winning, but dominating. They’ve triumphed in each of those nine matches by a margin of at least two goals, and three by four clear goals.
Much has been said about the partnership of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge and the pair should have too much for an Arsenal side that has been efficient and economical of late, without playing with some of the magic and confidence we witnessed when they won the reverse fixture 2-0.
The latter can gain revenge and buying Liverpool’s supremacy at 0.5 with Sporting Index is recommended.
