Leading intellectual property law firm EIP has appointed Nora Fowler as an associate in the firm’s trademark team in London. Nora joins from Novagraaf UK, where she managed worldwide trademark portfolios and provided strategic advice to clients from a multitude of sectors. Nora has a wealth of experience working with clients in various stages of the trademark lifecycle; from recommending on the registrability of trademarks, to managing clients’ worldwide portfolios and advising on potential risks posed by third parties.
Nora has worked across a range of client sectors from fashion brands to sports, including a Premier League football club. She has a degree in law with German law from the University of East Anglia, and a postgraduate certificate and professional certificate in trademark practice from Queen Mary University of London and Nottingham Law School respectively. She speaks fluent German and in 2017 was recommended in the Legal 500. Claire Lehr, partner and head of EIP Brands, said: “I am excited to see our trademark team grow with the addition of Nora. Legal & General Investment Management
Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has appointed Lisa Purdy as head of fiduciary distribution.She will be responsible for growing LGIM’s fiduciary business across existing and potential clients. She will report to Mark Johnson, head of institutional clients. Previously, Lisa was at Lloyds Bank, where she was corporate pensions director responsible for distributing pension services to commercial customers. Before this Lisa, was a principal investment consultant and led on business development for UK investment advisory at Aon Hewitt. She has 14 years’ experience in pensions, including time in Aon’s US fiduciary business in Chicago and is a qualified actuary.
Oaknorth Analytical Intelligence
Oaknorth Analytical Intelligence (ON AI), the global fintech platform focused on customised mid-market business lending, has appointed Nikolai Varma as chief commercial officer and Rikard af Ekenstam as managing director, corporate development. Nikolai has over 20 years’ experience in mergers & acquisitions and IPOs. He joins from Morgan Stanley where he held the role of managing director in the Financial Institutions Group, responsible for the coverage of banks in Emerging Europe and Scandinavia. Rikard also has over 20 years’ experience working in financial services, most recently at Mizuho Bank where he led their commercial and investment banking business in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.
