Italian PM Letta tweets resignation

Italian prime minister Enrico Letta has just tweeted that he’s resigning.
Letta says he's at the Quirinal Palace – the official residence of the Italian President – to tender his resignation.
He thanked those who have helped him over his nine months in office, repeating his motto: “Every day as if it were your last”.
Al #Quirinale a rassegnare le dimissioni al Capo dello Stato.Grazie a tutti quelli che mi hanno aiutato."Ogni giorno come se fosse l'ultimo"

Letta was sacked yesterday, after persistent pressure to resign across months of discord, following April’s hung parliament.
Matteo Renzi, who’s ousted Letta, will now need to try and form a government and solid parliamentary majority with coalition partners.
At 39, Renzi is set to become Italy’s youngest ever prime minister.
To colour things a bit: the new premier was a boy scout, is a big fan of Fiorentina football club (he was elected as president of the province of Florence at the ripe old age of 29) and a once-participant on Italy’s Wheel of Fortune. (That information via Tweetminster's Alberto Nardelli.)
