Bupa
The healthcare provider has appointed Rita Clifton to its board as a non-executive director, effective from July.
Clifton is also a director at DSG International and chairman of brand consultancy Interbrand.
She began her career in advertising at DMB&B and J Walter Thompson, before joining Saatchi and Saatchi in 1986, where she became vice-chairman and executive planning director.
Execution Noble
The investment banking group has hired David Brockton to its UK mid cap team as an analyst covering the support services sector.
Brockton joins from Arbuthnot Securities and has also worked at Deutsche Bank and Investec. Prior to taking a job in the City, he worked in academic research at the University of Exeter.
Norton Rose
The law firm has hired Michael Yu to its Beijing office as a partner in the corporate team.
Yu has a wealth of corporate experience, having worked on a number of M&A deals, IPOs, private placements and restructurings. He joins from Global Law Office, where he was a partner.

Peter Hall has now officially taken up the reins as chief executive of the financial advisory firm, replacing John Spiers, who founded the group in 1986.
Hall joined from UBS, where he has been managing director of the wealth management regional and investment division for the past four years.
Hailsham Chambers
Bernard Livesey QC has joined the civil and commercial chambers from Four New Square, where he has been a tenant for the past 18 years.
Livesey was called to the Bar in 1969 and took silk in 1990. He has experience in commercial litigation, construction and insurance, and specialises particularly in the professional liability of lawyers, accountants and valuers. He is also a deputy High Court judge in the Chancery and Queen’s Bench divisions.

The Insolvency Practitioners Association appointed Carl Faulds as its new president at its annual meeting last week.
Faulds is currently managing director of Portland Business Recovery.
