City of London’s hot air balloon to make maiden voyage in Lake Havasu festival
Knock, knock, which member of the Lord Mayor’s City of London team is most full of hot air? The hot air balloon, obviously!
No, we didn’t know they had a hot air balloon either, but here it is and The Capitalist has discovered it will make its maiden flight in foreign airspace. The balloon, along with one from Aberdeen Asset Management, is to take part in Lake Havasu City’s hot air balloon festival – that’s in Arizona if anyone fancies nipping across the Pond to support it.
The balloon will be piloted by City Corporation lawyer and balloon enthusiast Phil Saunders and British Hot Air Balloon champ Andrew Holly. The festival starts next Friday.
