Welcome to the City A.M. Awards 2016

It seems like only yesterday that the wine was flowing, the bubbles were fizzing, and the City was out in force to celebrate the 2015 City A.M. Awards at Grange St Paul’s Hotel.

Our sixth annual awards ceremony, held last November, was a roaring success, attended by hundreds of London’s top business figures, from sectors as diverse as fintech, law, accountancy, banking, insurance, retail and property.

And now, with nearly half of 2016 behind us, we want to know who’s caught your eye from the worlds of business and finance. We are looking for the most bold, successful, and principled companies and individuals. During a year of global economic and political uncertainty, which businesses have negotiated the storm and delivered prosperity for shareholders, employees and customers alike?

Nominations are open until 12 August. All suggestions will be considered by City A.M.’s experienced editorial team, which selects a shortlist of five for each category. The shortlists will be published one at a time from 12 September.

The final decisions are taken by a panel of independent and prestigious judges. This year, we are delighted to welcome Virgin Money boss Jayne-Anne Gadhia and renowned entrepreneur Luke Johnson as new judges. The panel, which comprises a string of heavyweight business figures, meets at City A.M.’s offices to deliberate on each category.

The winners will be revealed at the Grange hotel on 10 November, at a glamorous ceremony presented by top broadcaster and journalist Julia Hartley-Brewer.

Put the date in your diary – you never know, this could be your year.

The City A.M. Awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognise and celebrate some of the outstanding work done by the people and organisations on whom City A.M. reports every day. I would strongly encourage our readers to take the chance to nominate the firms and individuals that they think have made a particular impact over the past year.
