Profit falls for Mattel’s Barbie girl in a Barbie World July 17, 2014 The world’s largest toymaker Mattel reported its third straight fall in quarterly revenue yesterday as sales of its iconic Barbie doll declined the most since mid-2009. Mattel’s profit more than halved to $28.3m (£16.5m) in the quarter from $73.3m a year earlier. Revenues fell nine per cent to $1.06bn, below expectations of $1.19bn.
