Moshi Monsters owner welcomes Index Ventures partner on board
MIND Candy, the London-based tech firm behind the Moshi Monsters children’s game franchise, has appointed Index Ventures partner Saul Klein to its board.
Klein was one of the first investors in Mind Candy and is said to have been playing an active role in the business prior to the appointment.
“His appointment to the board also seemed like a natural transition since he is a friend of Mind Candy and an investor for many years,” a Mind Candy spokesperson told City A.M.
Mind Candy released its Moshi Monsters mobile app internationally earlier this month to over 100 countries. The release marks part of the company’s transition from traditional web gaming to mobile gaming.
“We continue to diversify and expand our products, mobile will be playing a big part of the company moving forward,” the spokesperson added.
Klein previously invested in and founded Lovefilm, and was part of the original executive team at Skype.
Mind Candy is among the UK government’s Future Fifty list of high-growth companies.
