For one day only, City restaurant M is having a flash sale, with everything on the menu costing just £2.40
Normally you'd be hard pressed to get a three course meal in the Square Mile for under £40, but one upscale haunt is pledging to sell menu items for peanuts for a whole day.
To celebrate the launch of its new 24-hour cookbook, opulent M on Threadneedle Street, famed for its Kobe beef steaks and wealthy clientelle, is offering a one-off menu later this month, where every dish served from 7am till midnight costs just £2.40.
The menu, available on April 21, features 14 mini-dishes from M: A 24 Hour Cookbook, giving City slickers a chance to dine out for breakfast, lunch and dinner and still get change back from a £10 note.
Proceeds from the day will raise funds for M’s nominated charities, School of Hard Knocks and the Head & Neck Cancer Foundation.
Signed copies of the new book, which contains recipes for exotic dishes like yuzu gel, black quinoa swordfish sushi and kobe beef medallions, will be available for sale at on the day with £5.00 from each copy going to directly to M’s charities.
