Deutsche Bank warned by BaFin
Germany’s financial watchdog, BaFin, has ordered Deutsche Bank to do more to ensure commodity prices cannot be manipulated by its traders. The warning is the latest sign that regulators believe that some of the world’s largest markets are still open to abuse. Deutsche Bank is reportedly conducting its own investigation into trading around the setting of London’s daily gold price benchmark, in addition to one being carried out by BaFin.
