Quayle Munro
The boutique merchant banking group has appointed Andrew Adams, pictured, and Robert Cormie as executive directors.
Adams has been a managing director at the firm since 2008, having spent ten years at The Van Tulleken Company prior to its acquisition by Quayle Munro. Cormie also became a managing director in 2008. Prior to that, he was at Commerzbank and KPMG, where he ran the corporate finance energy business.
JO Hambro
The investment management company has hired Sandy Black as an investment director.
Black previously served as head of equities at Insight Investment, a role he held for five years.
Prior to that, he was head of European equities at Deutsche Asset Management, where he worked for a decade, and also held positions at Invesco and NM Rothschild.
Unum
The financial protection provider has appointed Marco Forato from its US division as chief marketing officer.
Forato was previously vice president of marketing strategy and communication for Unum US. He was also a senior vice president at Millward Brown in London and a consultant at Booz Allen and Hamilton in Brazil and Mitchell Madison Group in New York.
P-Solve
Martin Ross is to join the investment consultancy and asset management business as an associate director in its asset solutions team.
Ross was formerly a project strategy worker at Temenos, the packaged banking software group which supplies his new employer’s portfolio management computer system.
MGM Advantage
Nigel Gray has moved over from Lloyds of London to MGM, a retirement specialist, as chief actuary.
Gray will report to chief financial officer Geoff Shanks and will play a major role in the strategic focus of Solvency II implementation plans, particularly from an actuarial perspective.
At Lloyds of London, he was a work stream leader under Solvency II. He has also worked for Equitable Life, HBOS, Assurant Solutions and Liverpool Victoria.
Mercer
The investment, outsourcing and consulting group has appointed Sam Tandy as a senior client manager in its outsourcing business.
Tandy, who will also head up the firm’s national client service management team, was previously a pensions contract manager with Capita Hartshead, where she was responsible for the management and delivery of scheme wind up projects for independent trustee firms.
