Ernst & Young
The professional services firm has appointed Steve Varley as UK and Ireland managing partner, effective from 1 July, when he will take responsibility for overseeing 11,000 people in the UK and Ireland. Varley has been a member of Ernst & Young’s UK and Ireland leadership team since 2006, most recently as markets leader, where he was responsible for strategy across all service lines, priority sectors and regions of the business. He first joined Ernst & Young from Accenture in 2005 to lead the company’s advisory department.
King & Spalding
Martin Hunt has been appointed as partner in the London office of international law firm King & Spalding, where he will work on the company’s global transactions team. Hunt, a US and UK qualified lawyer, moves from Bracewell & Guiliani, where he was a partner. Prior to this he worked in the corporate team at Slaughter &?May.
Colliers International
John Campbell has been appointed as director of Colliers International’s City agency team, responsible for handling office disposals and acquisitions.
Campbell, who has 15 years’ experience in real estate, joins Colliers from ALDAR Properties PJSC, the largest developer in Abu Dhabi.
Aberdeen IM
The international investment management group has appointed Steven Nicholls as its EMEA head of client portfolio managers. Aberdeen has also appointed Andrew Allen as director of global property research.
Royal London AM
Darren Bustin has joined Royal London Asset Management from Aegon, where he will work with senior portfolio managers across a range of products.
DTZ
The real estate firm has appointed Paul Vernham as senior director in its corporate consulting team. Vernham, who joins from Cushman & Wakefield, will be providing strategic real estate advice to corporate and public sector occupiers.
