Brazil vital to Google’s future
Brazil is on the way to becoming Google’s sixth-largest global market, according to its chief executive Eric Schmidt. The world’s number one search company, which has been opening new offices in fast-growing Latin America, saw its revenue in the region surge last year on the back of brisk economic growth, with countries showing growth of 50 per cent to 100 per cent last year. Schmidt will be replaced as chief executive in April by Google co-founder Larry Page.
