The Raid Des Alpes challenge raises £110k in aid of The Sick Children’s Trust
Big congratulations to the team of 11 cyclists, who tackled a 735-km ride through the Alps back in September in aid of The Sick Children’s Trust. The ride was inspired by five-year-old Mimi Clarke (pictured, with her mum at the start line of the challenge), who is undergoing treatment for a tumour.
“It was harder than we all expected, but we were surprised by Mimi at the start and she helped us push through when we were struggling,” Julius Baer’s Matt Lee (pictured, far left) told The Capitalist. “We had her picture on our water bottles.” The team announced the £110,000 total raised yesterday. Chapeau, lads.
