Output restarts at Eland oil field
Eland Oil & Gas has started producing oil again from the Opuama field in Nigeria, the Aim-quoted energy company said yesterday. Chief executive Les Blair called it “a hugely significant milestone” for the company. Output at the Opuama field, which is operated by the Nigerian Petroleum Development Corporation, is expected to reach around 2,500 barrels of oil per day. Eland owns a 45 per cent stake in the field through a joint venture.
