London Sports Festival Extends Padel at Hay’s Galleria Following Continued Demand

Central London Alliance has announced that the hugely popular London Sports Festival padel court at Hay’s Galleria has been extended until 18 October, giving even more people the opportunity to experience one of the world’s fastest-growing sports in one of London’s most iconic riverside destinations.
Originally scheduled to conclude in August, the extension follows continued demand from players, local businesses and visitors, with thousands already taking to the courts since opening.
Delivered in partnership with London Bridge City, the activation has transformed Hay’s Galleria into a vibrant destination for sport, wellbeing and social connection, supporting Central London Alliance’s mission to make physical activity more accessible while bringing new energy and footfall to London’s public spaces.
Tony Matharu, Chairman of Central London Alliance, said:
“The response to padel at Hay’s Galleria has once again demonstrated the incredible appetite for accessible sport in central London. By extending the courts until 18 October, we’re creating even more opportunities for people to discover a new sport, improve their wellbeing and enjoy London’s outstanding public spaces.
London Sports Festival is about much more than sport. It’s about creating vibrant destinations that bring together communities, businesses and visitors, while supporting London’s economy and showcasing our capital as a global city for culture, hospitality and active lifestyles. We are delighted to continue this successful partnership with London Bridge City and look forward to welcoming thousands more players over the coming weeks.”
The additional weeks will allow even more workers, residents, schools and visitors to discover the sport through a programme of bookable court sessions, community activities, free children’s coaching, player exhibition matches and corporate events; all in a fun and welcoming environment.

The extension further reinforces the success of the London Sports Festival, which has seen participation continue to grow year on year through its programme of inclusive sporting experiences delivered across and animating central London; including pickleball, table tennis, volleyball, football and 3×3 basketball, encouraging people of all ages and abilities to Play Their Part.
