    HORSE RACING: Footballer Wayne Rooney’s first race as an owner ended in defeat yesterday when his two-year-old Pippy finished last at Chester. The 9-1 shot, decked in pink and white, is one of three horses trained for Rooney by Tom Dascombe at his Manor House stables.
