Gordon Ramsay restaurants top £100m as Lucky Cat ‘star performer’
Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant group took more than £100m in revenue in the UK last year, as the group named its five Bishopsgate sites its “star performer”.
The celebrity chef’s 34 UK restaurants posted a three per cent uplift in revenue to £100.7m in 2025, as its operating loss narrowed from £7.3m to £5.8m.
Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant empire – which includes brands like Bread Street, Lucky Cat and Hell’s Kitchen – has expanded rapidly in the Square Mile in recent years.
Following the opening of Lucky Cat and Bread Street Kitchen & Bar at 22 Bishopsgate, Ramsay’s restaurant group now operates five sites in the City skyscraper, the UK’s second-tallest building.
Andy Wenlock, chief executive of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, said: “It has been an incredible year for the business and its testament to the dedication of the whole team to make it such a success.
“While 22 Bishopsgate has been the star performer, with 5 restaurant experiences in one venue, the strength of the performance of the group as a whole has been phenomenal, with openings across new and existing markets and a relentless focus on the guest experience throughout the brand portfolio.”
Trading at Lucky Cat at 22 Bishopsgate, which opened in February last year, took a boost from the release of the Netflix documentary ‘Being Gordon Ramsay’ earlier this year, the company said.
Ramsay takes new private equity funding
Earnings at Ramsay’s UK restaurant group edged up four per cent to £8.5m year on year, while earnings at the chef’s global operations jumped by 12 per cent to £14m.
Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global (GRRG), which represents the chef’s worldwide restaurant estate, took £152m in revenue last year across its 102 sites.
The company is one of the world’s largest privately-owned restaurant groups. In February last year, Ramsay struck a deal to merge his UK and US operations to form GRRG.
Ramsay and Lion Capital, a London-based private equity firm, each own 50 per cent of the company.
Lion Capital contributed new funding as part of the merger, following up its initial $100m investment into Ramsay’s US business in 2019.
Gordon Ramsay Restaurants was founded in 1998 and also operates in South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, France, Dubai, Singapore and Thailand.
It holds a total of nine Michelin stars, including three at its flagship Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea.
