Farage secures EU bloc funding
UK INDEPENDENCE Party (Ukip) leader Nigel Farage has secured up to €14m (£11.2m) in funding from EU taxpayers after gathering enough support from allies in the European Parliament to form a political group.
The 48 MEP-strong Europe of Freedom and Democracy group, which includes members from Lithuania, France, the Czech Republic, Latvia and Sweden, has gained enough members to have rights to funding, speaking time and jobs.
