Fair prices at Leadenhall fair
Need some artistic inspiration for your desk? Leadenhall Market is having an arts fair this week, providing the City with affordable paintings and sculptures to brighten up the office. Now in its eighth year, Elevated Art Fair will see “affordable art” (£4,000 and under) on sale, along with live art and DJ sets. Makes a change to that inspirational poster.
■ Former controversial Barclays boss Bob Diamond has bowed out as the chairman of London theatre company Old Vic Productions plc after a seven year service. Diamond, who was one of five bankers forced out of Barclays in 2012 during the Libor rigging scandal, said he was “unable to spend as much time as I would like at its shows.” Bruce walker, head of healthcare at property firm Quintain, has become interim chairman. The company hasn’t had an easy year, with a pre-tax loss of nearly £269,700; up by nearly 55 per cent from last year’s loss of £174,450. Despite a bleak financial year with “no major hits”, Old Vic Productions is pleased to announce plans for a theatre adaptation of Enid Blyton’s “Famous Five” book series next year. Every cloud…
