Dozens arrested in Wall St protest
At least 80 people were arrested in New York during anti-banking protests over the weekend, police said last night. The “Occupy Wall Street” campaigners have been protesting in and around the financial district for a second week, culminating in a march through Manhattan yesterday and on Saturday. Most of the arrests were for disorderly conduct by people who blocked vehicle and pedestrian traffic during the marches. One marcher was charged with assaulting a police officer, police said.
