Digital carries Centaur’s growth
Centaur Media yesterday reported a three per cent drop in group revenue to £26.6m in the six months to 31 December despite growth in its digital operations. The business publishing and events group saw underlying digital revenues rise ten per cent, now accounting for 32 per cent of income. Underlying total revenues were up four per cent, with pre-tax earnings a considerable 39 per cent higher, at £1.6m. Centaur chief executive Geoff Wilmot said the second half of the year will see digital move quite strongly: “Digital is absolutely where the opportunity is.”
