Coca-Cola’s Santa Claus brings fizz to International Greetings
GIFT wrap and card-making company International Greetings said trading has got off to a good start in the first quarter of the year after winning contracts with the likes of Coca-Cola and Universal Studios for its Despicable Me film.
The Bedfordshire-based company, which also makes crackers, gift bags and stationary said it is on track to meet market expectations and is in good shape to tackle volatile foreign exchange movements.
It has struck a number of deals ahead of the crucial festive trading period, including a licensing contract with Disney for the Star Wars franchise and with Coca Cola Enterprises to feature the Coca Cola Santa Claus across a range of gift packaging and greetings products in the UK.
The group also plans to expand its presence in the US through Aldi’s 1,000 stores and has also received a Christmas commitment from one of the largest pharmacy chains to feature in over 7,500 stores.
