BNP Paribas Asset Management
Gilles Guérin has been appointed chief executive of the asset manager’s recently formed Partner THEAM. In this role, he will manage THEAM, which combines BNP Paribas asset management’s SIGMA team and those of BNP Paribas CIB’s Harewood Asset Management. THEAM specialises in index, active systematic, guaranteed and alternative investment solutions.
Guérin was previously vice-chairman of the management board of HDF Finance.
European Investment Bank
Barbara Bargagli-Petrucci, currently director and head of the capital markets department at the EIB will retire from the bank, effective 1 April. She will be succeeded by Eila Kreivi, currently head of funding for the Americas, Asia and the Pacific at the EIB.
Prior to joining the EIB 1995, Kreivi worked at the Union Bank of Finland and Société Générale.
State Street
The financial services firm has announced the appointment of Robert Rushe as head of exchange traded products (ETP) servicing in Ireland. Rushe will lead State Street’s ETP servicing team and will be responsible for the overall ETP product offering for new and existing clients covering exchange traded funds (ETFs), notes and certificates.
He joins from Bank of Ireland Securities Services, where he was a member of the team that created Ireland’s first ETF product in 2000.
M&G Investments
The investment manager has hired James Tomlins from Cazenove Capital Management to join its retail fixed income investment team. Tomlins, deputy fund manager of the Cazenove Strategic Bond Fund, will work alongside Stefan Isaacs and Richard Woolnough.
He has nearly a decade’s experience of investment management, having worked previously for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (now Blackrock) and KBC Alternative Investment Management.
Mercer
The consultancy group has appointed Mark Quinn as a partner specialising in reward. Mark joins from RBS Group, where he was head of reward for the bank’s UK region retail banking, European insurance and global wealth management divisions, which employ around 60,000 people.
Prior to his role at RBS, he was a director in Ernst and Young’s performance and reward consulting practice.
