Coutts
Michael Mount has been appointed managing director, Coutts International UK at the wealth division of RBS. He joins from HSBC, where he was most recently a managing director in its UK private banking business. Mount has 27 years’ experience in international markets, and has also led business development at HSBC Private Bank, and served as chief economist for its international private banking operation in London.
Squire Sanders
The law firm has announced the appointments of Eric Cowan and Glynna Christian as partners in its corporate transactions, finance and governance practice group. They both join from Winston & Strawn, where Cowan was global chair of communications, media and technology, and Christian was global chair of sourcing.
Legal & General Property
The real estate subsidiary of Legal & General Investment Management has appointed Neil Crawford as retail development manager. He joins from Hammerson, where he has been development manager for the past four years. Crawford has also held roles at Cyril Sweett, John Rowan & Partners, Goldsmiths Group, and Next.
Emirates
Jon Sheppard has been appointed manager of the airline’s UK national accounts. He will report to Laurie Berryman, Emirates’s vice president UK. Sheppard joins from Air France KLM, where he was field sales manager for London and UK South.
Towers Watson
Allister Byrne has been appointed to the professional services firm’s defined contribution investment business. He joins from Investit, where he was responsible for advising asset management firms on product development. Byrne has over 15 years’ experience in fund management, and has also held roles at Aegon.
IBB Solicitors
The law firm has announced the appointment of Bill Bidder as a partner and group head of its real estate team. He joins from Speechly Bircham, where he has been a partner since 2009. Bidder has also served as legal director and company secretary at Taylor Woodrow.
Lazard Asset Management
David Brunner has been appointed regional sales manager in the asset management firm’s UK third party distribution team. He joins from Ocean Dial Asset Management, where he was its head of sales and marketing. Brunner has over 12 years’ experience in the industry, and has also held roles at Rathbone Unit Trust Management.
