Leading audit, tax and consulting firm RSM has appointed Neil Griggs as an audit partner in its financial services team. Neil joins RSM from BDO, prior to which he worked at both Big Four and boutique firms. He has 20 years of financial dervices experience gained across all sectors, notably investment firms, asset managers, hedge funds, private equity, broker dealers and fintech. In his new role, Neil will help build RSM’s growing financial services practice, taking advantage of expertise and resource from within the UK and globally through the RSM international network.”
Black Isle
Atholl Duncan has been appointed the new chair of Black Isle Group (BIG), the London-based leadership development consultancy. Attholl has previously held various high-profile roles,including an executive at the BBC, chairman of UK Coaching, chairman of the Scottish Salmon Producers’ Organisation, and chairman of British Horseracing. BIG has a broad range of corporate clients in the City of London, around the UK and internationally, including Barclays, Standard Chartered, Toyota, Experian and Microsoft. Octopus
Octopus Real Estate has announced the appointment of Dmitri Zaprzala to the newly created role of head of residential. Dmitri will be responsible for all residential lending across Octopus Real Estate, with a focus on continuing to improve customer service and listening to clients’ needs, while creating innovative residential lending products. He will also be responsible for building the sales team and continuing to harness long term relationships with introducers. Dmitri has worked in property for nearly 20 years and joined Octopus in 2011. His most recent role at Octopus Real Estate was head of sales, a role which he held for four years. Over the last decade Octopus Real Estate has lent over £4.2bn, over 3,500 loans. Benjamin Davis, chief executive of Octopus Real Estate, said: “Dmitri has already made a huge contribution to our business particularly having led our successful Octopus Real Estate sales team over the last few years. We are known for our exceptional customer service, and Dmitri and his team will ensure that residential borrowers will continue to receive the best in
