The insurance company has announced the appointment of Maren Modena as a senior risk analyst in its trade credit division. She was most recently at Euler Hermes UK, where she worked for nine years as a senior risk underwriter.
Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management
The asset and wealth management business has recruited Michael Lee as UK head of consultants. He previously held similar roles at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership and BlackRock. Before that, Lee worked at Mercer Investment Consulting.
Aviva Investors
The asset management business has hired Boris Mikhailov as director of business development. He has over 11 years’ experience advising clients on investment strategy. Mikhailov was previously at Mercer, where he was a principal in its financial strategy group.
Close Brothers Asset Management
Robert Alster has joined the asset management firm as head of research. He was most recently at AllianceBernstein, where he managed the global industrials component of its global growth fund.
Stephenson Harwood
Suzanne Tarplee has been appointed partner in the law firm’s rail team. She joins from Burges Salmon, where she was a legal director in its rail group. Before that, Tarplee was a senior associate at Dentons.
Throgmorton
The accountancy firm has announced the hire of Denis Jackson as business development director. He has over 25 years’ experience working in the international finance service industry. Jackson was formerly at Tibra Trading, where he was a regional general manager.
Insight Insurance
The insurance firm has appointed Doug Smith to its corporate insurance consultancy business. He previously held senior roles in Marsh’s private equity practice.
Southegg Capital Management
The proprietary trading firm has recruited Didier Voinchet as head of futures trading. He joins from Odin Capital Management, where he was head of proprietary trading.
