Agnès Belaisch has been appointed head of the sovereign debt team at the asset management firm. Based in the UK, she was previously in charge of economic and market analysis at the European Stability Mechanism, and has held roles at the IMF.
ANV HOLDINGS
The insurance group has appointed Janet Helson as chief executive of its Lloyd’s managing agency, ANV Syndicates. She was previously director of Randall & Quilter’s underwriting management division. Helson has over 30 years’ experience in the London insurance market, and has also held roles at Chaucer, Kiln and Crowe.
FRANKLIN TEMPLETON
Carlos Ortiz has been appointed international fixed income research analyst in the investment firm’s European fixed income team. He was previously an economist at UniCredit Bank in London, where he researched Central and Eastern European economics and fixed income strategy as chief economist for Slovenia, Serbia, and Turkey. Ortiz has also held roles at Moody’s Investors Service.

The law firm has appointed Jonathan Metliss as a consultant. He was one of the founding partners of SJ Berwin in 1982 and specialises in corporate finance, with an emphasis on takeovers, acquisitions, financings, flotations and joint ventures. Metliss has had a 45 year career in law, and is also a consultant to Nexus Investment Ventures.

Hazel Pitchers has been appointed global head of marketing at the investment management firm. She joins from BlackRock Investment Management, where she was managing director and head of Europe, Middle East and Africa retail marketing. Pitchers has over 15 years’ experience of marketing in the asset management industry, and has also held roles at Fischer Francis Trees & Watts and Gartmore Group.
C HOARE & CO
The private bank has announced the appointment of Rob Jeffree as chief investment officer. He joined in 2009 to head up its research function and lead the selection of third party funds within its discretionary client portfolios. Jeffree has over 20 years’ experience in investment management, and replaces David Cavaye, who has been with C Hoare & Co since 2000.
