Bruma: It’s the players not Carlo who should take all of the blame
CHELSEA defender Jeffrey Bruma insists he and his fellow teammates must take responsibility for their failure to kill off Aston Villa on Sunday.
The 19-year-old made his full Premier League debut in the eventful 3-3 draw at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues, who travel to Wolves tomorrow, trail Manchester United by six points having played a game more than the leaders, with manger Carlo Ancelotti under increasing pressure to spend heavily this month to refresh his squad. But Bruma believes it is the players who should be shouldering the brunt of the criticism.
Bruma said: “Everyone knows Premier League games are always fast, quick strong, so if we don’t play our game then they will play their game and you will see that they will dominate us. It can happen.
“We should’ve kept the ball and been strong in the marking because the guy from Villa had a free header.”
