888 insists talks with Ladbrokes are still on-going
ONLINE bookmaker 888.com will this morning tell the market that it is still in talks with Ladbrokes over a possible merger, after suggestions that discussions had faltered.
High street bookmaker Ladbrokes last month confirmed it was in “very preliminary” talks with 888 over a merger.
Weekend reports suggested the pair had terminated talks after failing to agree on price.
However, 888.com will say this morning that talks between the two remain ongoing, when it updates the market with its fourth quarter results.
Shares in the online gambling site’s owner 888 Holdings have fluctuated in recent weeks over speculation on whether the deal will be agreed.
