Ukraine President confirms early vote

The Ukranian President Victor Yanukovych has confirmed that the country will be holding an early presidential poll.
The President has agreed to a national unity government and to constitutional reforms designed to limit the power of the President.
Earlier in the day the President released a statement saying an agreement was reached with opposition leaders and EU representatives and said it would be signed at midday local time (10.00am UK time).
However, the President's website included no details of the "Agreement on Settlement of Crisis."
Early reports suggested the deal includes constitutional changes, a coalition proposal and an early presidential election.
The Financial Times' Peter Spiegel reports that it was unclear whether whether the EU representatives were in total agreement with President Yanukovich's announcement.
French foreign minister Laurent Fabius, who was apart of the negotiations told Europe 1 radio:
The opposition wants to consult with some of its members, which is entirely understandable.
In this sort of situation, as long as things haven't really been wrapped up, it's important to remain very cautious.
So far 75 people have been killed in clashes between protestors and the police. The deputy chief of the armed forces resigned as opposition lawmakers voted to overturn anti-terrorist legislation introduced by President Yanukovich earlier this month.
Ratings agency Standard & Poor's cut Ukraine's credit rating on Friday for the second time in three weeks due to the rising risk of default.
