Tickets to the Queen’s 90th birthday street party in The Mall will cost £150 for the 1,000 winners of a ballot for the chance to attend the event
Bad news for royalists: if you want to celebrate the Queen's birthday with her in what will be one of the biggest street parties the country has ever seen, you'll need to fork out £150.
The Queen's 90th birthday party in The Mall, Westminster, is to be held on 12 June, her grandson announced.

While most of the 10,000 guests will be from organisations associated with the monarch, 1,000 tickets will be released in a public ballot in February, Peter Phillips said. The winners will then be able to buy the tickets from the event's website.
"It's not exactly a cheap exercise. Fortunately our corporate partners have provided the funding for the majority of the costs," Phillips added. "This is a not-for-profit event."
The lunch is in honour of the Queen's lifelong service and will mark her patronage of some 600 charities.

A carnival parade will travel along The Mall, while attendants will also be given hampers of food at tables.
The Queen celebrates two birthdays each year. Her official birthday is in June, while her actual birthday is 21 April.
