The top five 7-inch tablets on the market
Amazon Kindle Fire HD
The HD version of Amazon’s original design is ideal for people who use their tablet for watching movies and online shows. Considering the affordable price, the features on offer provide great value for money and the speakers are pretty good too.
Google Nexus 7 by Asus
Despite it being made of glass and plastic, the exterior is slick and the screen encompasses a respectable 1280×800 pixels. Many critics call it the best 7-inch tablet on the market and it’s not hard to understand why.
Barnes & Noble Nook HD
While not particularly pleasing on the eye, what the Nook has over the Kindle Fire, for example, is the option of expandable storage. The screen boasts an impressive 1,140×900 pixel resolution and its processor is reportedly the fastest on offer from a 7-inch tablet.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0
While the exterior doesn’t steer too far from that of the Kindle Fire, it does have the advantage of offering additional features like a TV remote control, dual cameras and the option for expandable memory.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7
The screen is sharp and has the same impressive exterior. The only thing that lets this model down is the price. In comparison to the features available from tablets on the lower end of th market, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 doesn’t quite life up to its price tag.
