Santander and Visa veterans join UK Finance board
UK Finance has added Santander executive Susan Allen and chief executive of Visa Europe Charlotte Hogg to its board.
Allen is Santander’s head of retail and business banking in the UK, and is responsible for the bank’s 15 million retail and business customers in the UK, as well as its nationwide network of branches.

Hogg is the executive vice president and chief executive of Visa’s European operations, and previously served as chief operating officer for the Bank of England between 2013 and 2017.
UK Finance is a trade association representing over 250 banking and finance firms.
Chair Bob Wigley said the association’s board brings together “diverse and wide-ranging expertise from across the banking, finance and payments landscape”.
“Susan’s expertise in commercial and retail banking, alongside Charlotte’s broad-ranging experience in both public and private sectors, will contribute significantly to the UK Finance Board, further diversifying its wealth of experience and knowledge,” said Wigley.

Wigley also thanked James Bardrick, Ron Kalifa, Mark Sismey-Durrant and Ashok Vaswani, who have all stepped down from UK Finance’s board at the end of their agreed terms.
