Sainsbury’s in credit push
SAINSBURY’S Bank is offering extra Nectar points and cashback to entice customers to use its two new credit cards, it announced yesterday.
Customers using the Nectar credit card will get five times the usual number of points when making purchases for the first three months.
After the introductory period, that drops back to double the usual number.
Meanwhile cashback card users will receive five per cent cashback on purchases for three months, and extra cashback in each subsequent month they spend more than £250 at Sainsbury’s and £250 elsewhere.
“Customers with our credit card now spend on average 87 per cent more a month in Sainsbury’s than the average Sainsbury’s shopper,” said interim boss Hannah Bernard.
