…as pub groups report strong sales
MITCHELLS & Butlers is unlikely to report significant trading news at its annual meeting, although other companies in the sector will update the market this week.
Numis Securities said January trading at M&B is unlikely to have changed after a sales rise since late November.
On Wednesday, brewer Greene King is tipped to report a strong finish to the year by its managed pubs division and Scottish pub and brewing operation Belhaven.
Drinks firm Britvic is also due to report on its first quarter on Wednesday, with analysts expecting sales growth of 4.5 per cent. “We believe management will confirm its comfort with consensus,” UBS said.
On Thursday, brewer Marston’s should post growth just short of three per cent in like-for-like managed pub sales.
