Premier League: Break in the sun inspires West Ham to reach top half

WEST Ham boss Sam Allardyce put his side’s resurgence down to the prospect of a Dubai holiday after late goals from James Collins and Mo Diame lifted them into the top half of the Premier League.
The Hammers jet off today, having climbed out of the relegation zone with three straight top-flight wins for the first time since May 2007.
Allardyce said: “This break has been planned and that’s why the players have been beginning to play so well.
“The data shows it’s the best thing you can do. It’s still something that this country needs to consider. All the data we’ve collected, the FA and Premier League can have as much as they want.”
Collins beat Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy to Diame’s cross to head the opener on 84 minutes.
And Diame rubbed salt in the wounds deep into stoppage time, charging 60 yards before cutting inside Bradley Johnson and firing in a deflected shot.
