Oaktree sees income jump
OAKTREE Capital, which last year floated estate agent Countrywide in London, yesterday said profits rose 36 per cent last quarter compared to a year earlier.
Economic net income, a measure of profits, rose to $303.2m (£182.2m) from $221.7m for the three months ending December. Incentive income rose 15 per cent to $242.5m while investment income rose 70 per cent to $88.5m. Boss Howard Marks said “2013 marks our strongest year of operating performance ever.”
