M&C Saatchi’s ad revenue soars on strong UK and US markets
ADVERTISING giant M&C Saatchi saw revenues rise three per cent during the first half of the year, it reported yesterday, to £82.6m on the back of strong growth in the UK and US.
With a 17 per cent jump in profit to £8m during the six months to 30 June, the group said it was confident in delivering its full-year results in line with expectations.
Chief executive David Kershaw told City A.M. that M&C Saatchi’s less developed markets had added to overall performance in the first half of 2014: “Around the world the newer markets have started coming onstream, we’ve spent a lot of time over the past four years investing in startups in places such as Abu Dhabi, Stockholm, Milan and Singapore. And they’ve all started paying back earlier than we thought.”
Shares rose 0.7 per cent to 278p.
