Loss won’t kill season – AVB
TOTTENHAM manager Andre Villas-Boas insists a 5-2 defeat at local rivals Arsenal will not inflict lasting damage on their attempts to beat them to a Champions League place.
The Gunners overtook Spurs in the Premier League with Saturday’s emphatic win against 10 men, although Villas-Boas is adamant his team will take heart from their performance.
“When you are poor, it can do damage, but when you play like this I don’t think it can,” said the former Chelsea boss, who also shipped five against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge a year ago.
“We felt we had a go. We felt things that could have fallen our way fell Arsenal’s way. We compliment them for the result but we have a lot of belief in each other.”
