Informa swoops for media boss Andrew Mullins in restructuring
INFORMA, the British publishing and events group, has hired the Evening Standard and Independent newspaper managing director Andrew Mullins as chief executive of its training and conferences arm.
This unit has been created as part of a reorganisation of Informa into four new divisions by chief executive Stephen Carter, who took charge in January.
Carter yesterday also appointed Patrick Martell, chief executive of London-listed printing and marketing firm St Ives, as head of Informa’s business intelligence group.
“Today’s appointments significantly strengthen our executive management capabilities, complementing the existing operating talent across the group. This simplified structure, combining internal and external experience, will lead Informa as we finalise our strategic plan and deliver on our long-term growth objectives,” said Carter.
