World One Tower: Flats in world’s tallest residential skyscraper in Mumbai go on sale
Homes in the world’s tallest residential tower in Mumbai have been put up for sale in London as the owners target Indian millionaires based in the capital.
India’s largest residential developer Lodha has hired Mayfair estate agency Wetherell to sell flats in the £205m scheme, called World One Tower, in south Mumbai.
The 117-storey-high building will have 300 flats once completed, with prices starting from £1.4m.
Indian investors account for one in four sales in Mayfair and the group hopes to attract the likes of steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal and Shashi Ruia, Essar group’s Shashi Rui and billionaire KP Singh, all of whom own homes in the area.
Wetherell chief executive Peter Wetherell said developers are increasingly launching overseas projects in the capital in order to tap into the wealthy expatriate in a tactic of “reverse marketing”.
