Like! Facebook is turning 10 today
DOESN’T time fly when you’re updating multiple statuses – Facebook, the social network that lured us away from MySpace and Bebo with its clean lines and preppy feel all those years ago, has reached double digits. It makes us feel old.
It probably makes Mark Zuckerberg feel quite old too; not only did he start his empire 10 years ago, Silicon Valley’s original wunderkind is also turning 30 this year.
Zuckerberg hasn’t let the anniversary go by without introducing some fresh thinking. Last Thursday Facebook announced its new app Paper – the first stand-alone app from Facebook Creative Labs (which operates like an independent start-up). Used separately from the Facebook app, it’s already getting rave reviews from geeksville.
