The government has offered wealthy foreign entrepreneurs a fast track to settle in Britain. New immigration rules say that overseas investors willing to keep £5m in a British bank account will be allowed to stay in the country indefinitely after only three years. Those who create 10 jobs or achieve an annual turnover of £10m a year for their UK business will also be eligible to settle after three years. The normal procedure lasts five years.
