Cyclists get ready: The London Nocturne is moving to the Square Mile
Cyclist city workers and Olympic champions will come together when the London Nocturne celebrates its 10th edition in the heart of the City on Saturday 4 June.
The cycling event is moving from Smithfield Market into the Square Mile for the first time, with a circuit that starts and finishes on Cheapside with St Pauls as a backdrop.
Nine races will take place throughout the day ranging from a quirky penny farthing race to the more serious elite criterium – last year won by Olympic champion Ed Clancy.
“The new location will enable the event to continue to grow and accommodate more spectators, participants and attractions to make the event better than ever,” said chief executive of race organisers Face Partnership James Pope.
Proceedings will kick off at 3pm and last until 10pm with activities, food and drink and spectator attractions on hand throughout.
