Clifford Chance
The law firm said yesterday that Michael Dakin, the chief legal officer at Dubai-based investment firm Future Group, is to rejoin its ranks on the European high-yield team.
Dakin left Clifford Chance to join Future in August last year, having been a partner at the law firm for four years.
Prior to that, he spent seven years at US firm Cahill, focusing on high yield and leveraged finance transactions.
Aviva
Sam White, a former special adviser to then-chancellor Alistair Darling at the Treasury, has been appointed as group public policy director at Aviva. He will be responsible for pushing the insurer’s public policy agenda across the UK, Europe, North America and Asia.
Prior to working for Darling, he held special adviser roles at the Departments of Trade and Industry and Transport and also worked in Brussels.
JP Morgan
The investment banking group has appointed Audrey Childe-Freeman as head of currency strategy for its private bank in the EMEA region.
Childe-Freeman was formerly a senior foreign exchange strategist at Brown Brothers Harriman, covering G10 and the CEE currency bloc.
She has also previously worked at CIBC World Markets in London as head of the European economics team.

The financial services group has appointed Vincenzo Narciso to its investment banking arm as a partner in the private funds group, focusing on originating and raising capital for international private equity and venture capital funds.
Narciso joins from Union Bancaire Privée, where he was head of private equity activities. Before that, he worked at Swiss Re Private Equity Advisors.
DLA Piper
Gawain Hughes has joined the law firm as a partner in its London office.
Hughes moves from CMS Cameron McKenna, where he was head of investment funds. He specialises in advising investors, fund managers and administrators on all aspects of investment funds work, including structuring, formation, administration and promotion.
