DTZ
The property advisory group has appointed Hugh Radford as head of UK retail – a division whose clients include the Crown Estate, Land Securities, Hermes, Aviva and Henderson. It is also currently leasing Westfield’s newest shopping centre development at Stratford.
Radford has been a director at DTZ since 2007, when the firm acquired retail property specialist Donaldsons, where he was formerly an equity partner.
Centrica
The gas giant has taken on Ian Meakins, the chief executive of FTSE 100 building materials group Wolseley, as a new non-executive director.
Meakins has been at Wolseley for just over a year. Prior to that, he held a number of senior positions at Diageo, Travelex and Alliance Unichem.
Centrica chairman Roger Carr said Meakins is “an experienced chief executive with a proven track record” who would add considerable experience to the board in managing businesses with strong brands.
Barclays Wealth
The wealth management firm has hired Patrick Ramsey from Merrill Lynch as head of its operations in Switzerland.
Ramsey was most recently chief executive and general manager for the Swiss operations at Merrill, where he has worked since 2002.
Philippe Sednaoui, Barclays Wealth’s current head in Switzerland, has been appointed as global head of Latin American markets.
Close Asset Management
Paul Fisher has joined the asset manager as an intermediary client adviser, based in the South West.
Fisher joins from Coutts & Co, where he worked for the past four years as a private banker.
Prior to that, he was at NatWest and AWD Chase de Vere.
CB Richard Ellis
The real estate services group has appointed Matthew Howard to its UK retail team as a senior director, tasked with leading the further development of its retail asset management offering.
Howard was previously at UBS, where he was head of asset management and assistant fund manager to its flagship UK property fund.
