Liz Hazell has been appointed head of the accountancy firm’s not-for-profit group. She has more than 20 years’ experience working in the sector and, before joining Saffery Champness last year, Hazell was head of charities at PwC.
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer
The law firm has announced that Jennifer Bethlehem and Piers Prichard Jones have been appointed co-heads of its M&A practice in London, succeeding Simon Marchant and Ben Spiers. Bethlehem has a particular interest in the healthcare sector, where she has worked on M&A, joint ventures and end of life-cycle product disposals. Prichard Jones specialises in domestic and cross-border M&A.

The real estate-focused professional services and investment firm has appointed two senior surveyors to its South East valuation advisory business in London. Michelle Ross joins from DTZ. She specialises in the office, high street retail and industrial sectors. Chris Roberts joins from Matthews & Goodman, where he was responsible for valuation and development advisory.
Sutherland Asbill & Brennan
The law firm has announced the appointment of Jenni Lajzerowicz as partner in its energy, environmental and commodities practice group in London. She previously worked in the London offices of Norton Rose Fulbright. Lajzerowicz counsels energy and natural resources firms on dispute resolution and transactional matters.
Hermes Investment Management
The asset management firm has appointed Ben Patton as associate director in its real estate debt team. He joins from Barclays, where he was vice president in the Barclays real estate, corporate banking team.
Fidelity Worldwide Investment
The investment firm has appointed Sajiv Vaid to its fixed income investment team as co-manager of the Fidelity MoneyBuilder Income and Fidelity Extra Income funds. He joins from Royal London Asset Management, where he is co and lead manager of three corporate bond funds.
Thomas Miller Investment
The wealth management firm has appointed Laythamm Malorey as head of international business development to drive the growth of its offshore business. He joins from Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, where he was a director responsible for treasury and brokerage sales across Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
