Red Deer
Red Deer, a new London-based fintech company, has appointed Stefano Vaccino as chief product officer and Henry Price as chief commercial officer. Stefano joins Red Deer from Algomi, where he was chief product officer and a member of the executive team. At Red Deer he will oversee product strategy and manage the entire development prioritisation process. Henry joins Red Deer from Traiana, a market infrastructure technology firm for trade processing and risk management, where he was head of product, credit and risk. At Red Deer he will be responsible for commercial strategy, partnerships and client on-boarding.
MXC Capital
Paul Gibson has joined MXC as a partner and will focus on developing and expanding MXC’s portfolio of software focused-businesses. Paul has had a highly successful career in the TMT sector, most recently as chief operating officer of Advanced Computer Software (ACS) prior to its acquisition by Vista Equity Partners for £725m. In his five years at ACS Paul oversaw a period of exceptional value creation and transformation, with responsibility for driving both organic and acquisitive growth. Prior to ACS, Paul held a number of senior roles in both financial and operational capacities, latterly as finance director of Redac Limited, the Alchemy-backed turnaround that was subsequently sold to ACS for £100m.
SSP
SSP has appointed Sian Nicholls as new insurer relationship manager Sian will report directly to Ron Atkinson, head of distribution relationships. She will work closely with the company's personal and commercial lines insurer partners to gain greater insight into their ongoing e-trading strategies, and help them to extend their distribution capabilities and introduce new products and services. Her role complements the work of the existing relationship management team. As insurers look to adopt new models to maintain their profitability in an increasingly competitive and challenging market, Sian's expertise will put SSP at the forefront of understanding insurers' needs and developing its propositions accordingly.
Radical Company
Agile software development firm Radical Company has recruited two senior figureheads to drive its growth plans. The business has named Tom Bird, former business director at BBH and CHI & Partners, as its client services director to lead and develop its growing client portfolio. He brings with him almost 20 years’ experience on both agency and client side in leading teams, developing and implementing growth and fronting new business efforts. Radical has also appointed Paul Boyham as its mobile lead to grow the division in both the Shoreditch and Manchester offices. He has moved to the firm from Apposing, where he oversaw a 300 per cent increase in workforce size in just four years and worked with household names, such as Vodafone and Sony Playstation. Paul also spent more than two years at Sports Interactive as part of the team responsible for popular management simulation, Football Manager.
